What this site is

FFLSearchTool is a directory of federal firearms licensees, built from the ATF’s monthly published FFL list, plus information dealers tell us about themselves. It helps a person find a licensed dealer near them and compare what those dealers charge for a transfer.

What this site is not

We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the ATF or any government agency. Nothing on this site is a government notice, and a listing here is not a licence, a certification, or a statement that a dealer is currently in good standing with anybody. We do not sell firearms, ammunition or regulated parts, we do not broker or facilitate a firearm transaction, and no payment for a firearm passes through this site.

“Dealer Confirmed” means one thing only: someone with access to mail sent to the licensed premises entered the code we mailed there, and then told us the details on the listing. It is not verification by the ATF, and we never describe it as one. What Dealer Confirmed means.

Accuracy, and what to do about it

ATF-published fields are shown as published and are not editable here; we do not overwrite them, so you and your customers can always tell what came from the federal file and what came from the dealer. Dealer-supplied fields are the dealer’s statement, not ours. We do not warrant that any listing is accurate or current. Confirm licence status and terms directly with the dealer before any transfer. If something is wrong, tell us.

Dealer listings and claiming

Claiming a listing is free, and it stays free. Correcting the facts on it — your transfer fee, hours, website, phone, trading name, and what you will and will not transfer — is free and always will be. We do not put a fact a customer needs behind a payment.

A claim code is single-use and belongs to the business it was mailed to. Do not use one that was not sent to your licensed premises. We keep an audit record of claims and of every change made to a listing. We may remove a claim we have reason to believe was not made by the licensee, and we will contact the claimant when we do.

Search results are not for sale

Where a dealer appears in search results is determined by the customer’s question — distance, licence type, published fee, whether the listing is confirmed — and by nothing else. Ranking position cannot be bought, at any price, on any plan. If it could, the results would be advertising that looks like information, which would make the whole site useless for the person it exists to serve.

Optional paid services

We may offer optional paid services to dealers who have claimed a listing. Anything we charge for concerns how a listing is presented — never whether a fact about it is published, and never where it ranks. If you buy one:

The price and the billing interval are shown before you are asked to pay, on the checkout page, and again on your receipt.
Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans monthly, annual plans annually — at the same price, until you cancel. We will not start a subscription you did not choose, and nothing is pre-selected for you.
You can cancel at any time, yourself, from your billing page. Cancelling stops the renewal. Your paid presentation continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancelling never removes your listing or your ability to correct it. The free Dealer Confirmed profile, and every factual field on it, survives cancellation unchanged.
If we change a price, the change applies from your next renewal and we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

Payments are taken by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your card details.

Refunds

You can cancel at any time and you will not be billed again. Beyond that, our refund policy for a period already paid for is not yet settled, and we would rather say so than publish a promise we have not decided. Ask us and a person will read it and answer. If you were charged in a way you did not expect, say so and we will sort it out.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people, do not submit information about a business you do not represent, and do not use a claim code that was not mailed to you. We rate-limit and log claim attempts, and we may suspend access that looks like abuse.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Human+AI Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on a listing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
